Cultivate Naturally wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built in the woods — and then, when it mattered most, in a grow room where the stakes were deeply personal. It started in the late 1990s in the Pacific Northwest, when growing cannabis meant hiking into the woods with clones, buckets, and the hope that nobody would find your plot before harvest. No grow stores. No forums. No YouTube tutorials. Just plants, patience, and hard-won knowledge passed grower to grower. Over the years that followed, I grew alongside the industry — I shifted indoors, to improve quality through Hydroponics after multiple coco and living soil grows. I started with traditional ballasts and then moved to LED and never looked back. I've personally grown plants that topped twelve feet and yielded over a pound each. I've had issues with spider mites, bud rot, powdery mildew, root rot, caterpillars, nutrient burn, and fungus gnats, and I learned from all of it. For most of that time, I grew the way most growers did — synthetics, chemicals, whatever worked. I wasn't thinking much about inputs, I was thinking about yields and potency. That changed when my Step father was diagnosed with lung cancer. Cannabis was the only thing that gave him his appetite back during chemotherapy. When someone you love is that sick, and the one thing helping them is something you grow yourself, you start thinking very differently about what you're putting into your plants. I couldn't hand him something grown with harsh chemicals and feel good about it. So I stripped everything back. I researched every input. I rebuilt my grows from the soil up — organic amendments, living soil, natural pest management, nothing I wouldn't be comfortable with him consuming. He lost the battle, but the way I grew changed permanently. The care I put into those plants for him became the standard I've held ever since. Cultivate Naturally is built on that standard.
